Headrest for Haworth Fern Chair
This headrest kit uses an adapter which allows our Aeron headrest arm mechanism to be converted to one which is compatible with the Haworth Fern chair. It is available in light grey and black to match the most common Fern chair colors.
This is a full headrest assembly including the Fern Adapter that attaches directly to your chair. No additional parts required.

Don't get too scared when it doesn't rotate right out of the box. Mount it first and then give it a firm rotation holding the top of the chair. It will loosen up. Being 5'-10", I can move it completely out of the way and then lay back to rest on it. And it's made of good supportive, soft material. Trust me, get the Fern without the headrest and get this one.
Well constructed, fits perfectly on the fern and is a must have for sitting or laying back on the fern!!

This takes an amazing fern chair and makes it perfect. 5’9” here and it works just fine for me. I can see it not going low enough if you’re much shorter than me due to the tall back of the Fern.

This headrest is so comfortable and extremely easy to assemble. I was stressed going into it thinking it was going to be difficult, but it took like 3 minutes lol. I absolutely love it and it really elevated my Haworth Fern chair.

I saw someone on Reddit mentioning how amazing this thing is. I’ve never had a chair with a head rest, but figured why not try it?
It’s expensive. But I don’t regret spending it. It makes my already comfortable chair and makes it even better. It’s easier on my back because I’m not slumping to lay back against the chair back. I didn’t know I did that until I realized that I was doing when I didn’t need to.
I’m 5’9”, so I can see what others have said about minimum height. I generally don’t have it raised any. I could see it not working for someone who is much shorter than me.
The only thing I wish was the grey color matched the grey of the chair.

Tldr; Very soft, sits in place when needed, and easily removable
I got the fern a year ago when the only headrest for it was the one that Haworth offers with it. At that time I didn't get the headrest version of the fern because the headrest was hard, at a weird angle, and I liked the way the headrest-less version of the fern looked more (the back of the headrest version is built physically diifferent, like bulkier, and seems like it'll flex less).
I happened to get recommended a YouTube video about this headrest a month ago and I immediately bought this for my chair after watching it. It's nice quality and actually softer than I expected. It doesn't seem to obstruct the flexibility of the top of the back, and I actually don't mind the way it looks when it's on. Though I like that there's just one **** to turn to take it off easily because I still like seeing the chair headrest-less.
Overall great purchase, I get to relax my neck now
