What's the story behind this headrest?
Our team of designers and engineers have spent their careers immersed in the office furniture world. We are proud to call West Michigan, the global hub for the biggest office furniture companies in the world, our home. The products that come from Haworth, MillerKnoll, and Steelcase have inspired us for years.

We have watched and participated in moving office task seating from the cubicle into new settings, like the home.

Just as height adjustable desks undeniably allow for better postural health, well designed headrests do the same. So, with postural health and a passion for ergonomics in mind -  we concluded that chairs are better with a properly designed headrest, especially when you recline.

Why are you offering a pre-order on this product?
The Embody chair offers numerous color combinations. We want to make sure that our first production run of headrests is aligned with demand for specific color combinations.

What if I want to cancel my pre-order?
You can cancel your pre-order at any time for a full refund in USD up until a few weeks before we begin shipping. Once we start production of your headrest you will no longer be able to cancel.

Why is there an option for full and partial payment?
This is a limitation of the Shopify platform we use. We would prefer that there was only the $10 USD deposit option.

Can I pay the full amount?
Yes, if you would prefer to pay everything now you are welcome to. If you cancel your pre-order we will refund the full amount paid in USD up until a few weeks before we begin shipping. Once we start production of your headrest you will no longer be able to cancel.

Why did this take so long?
We've been in business for over 10 years and did not get to where we are by breaking promises or cutting corners. We are a small company with 15 employees in Holland, Michigan USA. The vast majority of our employees spend their time assembling headrests each day. We utilized our limited resources to design and engineer this product from scratch. We obsessed over prototype quality and validated mechanisms with tens of thousands of cycles. Once the prototypes met our high standards, we began organizing production with many of the same suppliers that make parts for your chair. This has been very laborious, and a real struggle during the pandemic. This project has been a self-funded labor of love. We believe you'll be happy with the results once you receive your new headrest.

If I pre-order now, when will I get my headrest? 
We will begin shipping in March or April of 2023. Once the plastic injection tools are completed, we will begin making parts. Some minor tweaks and refinement will be required. Nearly all of the parts are being made within one hour of our headquarters in Holland, Michigan. So there should not be any issues with shipping delays or factory shutdowns due to Covid. How do I determine my fabric type and color?
You should have a sticker on the underside of the top of your chair. This sticker will have the color code for your fabric. You can cross reference that with the list below.
