The headrest in my opinion is one of the best upgrades you can make for your Aeron chair. In fact the Aeron is not complete without it. The reason I chose the Atlas over the other manufacturers with equal, if not higher prices, is because they use the exact same materials used by Herman Miller themselves. I bought the black soft material version over the mesh, based on a review from another user stating the the material version is "more comfortable" when moving your head from side to side. He claimed that the hard plastic is in the back vs the mesh version being on the sides; this way you won't feel the hard plastic on your temples. I like the decision of buying the material version, but my concern is, since I'm a man blessed with the condition of lacking hair, the material will quickly start soaking up what my bare head decides to deposit on the material. I have used a towel to protect the material. I would suggest Atlas to also make a protective, removable and washable cover that matches the chair! All in all, A Great Purchase. Solidly built and comfortable to use.

This is a superior design in terms of function and quality manufacture. I highly recommend it as a solution for the chair.
Instead I bought a generic headrest for half the price that wouldn't stay attached to the chair. Putting too much pressure on it leaning back and it would pop off no matter how tightly i screwed it back. It was so agro to happen almost daily. Enter Atlas, it's only popped off once in the 14 days I've been using it. That's a 1300% improvement as far as I'm concerned. After some adjustments to better fit it more snugly to my neck it's stayed on ever since. Utility has been fantastic.

From beginning to now, about a month later, a stellar purchase. Shipped very quickly all the way to Taiwan. A total breeze to install. Looks great and totally matches. Easy as could be to shift around as much as I do (a ton). If you're looking for a headrest for your Aeron, this is the one.

Secret benefit: mounting on the steelcase leap turns it from a bad rocking chair to a great rocker as the rest provides a ton of leverage onto the back.
The headrest is absolutely incredible. I 3D printed a mount to attach it to the Leap V2 and it transformed the chair from great to almost perfect.
The only negative I have is I wish it had a deeper grove/bowl to rest my head and neck instead of only 1 at a time, and that the range of motion was even larger, but this rest is already better than all stock headrests out there so this already blows those out of the water.
The positives are: VERY soft like a microfiber neck pillow, nicely cushions and cradles the head OR neck. The bolts can be semi tightened to have adjustability and stability together.
Excellent build quality and materials. The headrest has enough flexibility (height, depth and pivot) to accommodate different types of support. A perfect complement to the Aeron chairs. Highly recommended.
